Hello All! Well I am excited to report we have a fingerprinting appointment at our local USCIS office!!!!!! When you apply to adopt through USCIS(INS) the adoptive parents must be fingerprinted. They send you a letter to you and tell you when to appear. When we did this in Missouri we were given a range of dates and times to come in to USCIS. From Detroit USCIS we received an exact date. On that date we will be a couple thousand miles away in New Mexico on vacation : ) Isn't that just how life works. Don't worry we can reschedule the appointment. So after the fingerprinting is complete we will get our I-171H or the pre-approval for our next babies immigrant visa. We are excited because at least our application or petition is moving along!!
